Plant Raspberry Shortcake® in full sun and well-drained soil for the best fruit production. Water regularly during dry spells and feed with a balanced fertilizer in early spring. After the harvest, prune away the oldest canes to make room for new growth that will fruit the following year. Because it is self-pollinating, a single plant will produce fruit, but multiple plants can increase yields and create a fuller display. For a beautiful edible garden, pair it with blueberries or strawberries for color, texture, and seasonal interest.
