Portable File Organizer | Hanging Folder Tote Box w/Handles

• Handcrafted Quality: Handwoven from rattan reed over a wood bottom, with a hardwood rim riveted through the weave, two leather carry handles, and a hinged solid wood lid that closes with a leather snap strap, by an Old Order Amish family on the Iowa-Missouri border, and signed by the weaver who made it.
• The Letter-File Size: 14 x 9 inches at the rim and 11 1/2 inches tall: letter-size hanging folders ride on the rails inside, about 13 inches across, with room for a year of bookwork, the household papers, the recipes, or the knitting patterns.
• Lid, Snap And Handles: The lid is hinged at the back and snaps shut, so the files stay put in the car or on the walk between rooms; the handles carry it like a tote. Choose a different trim for each box to tell them apart on a shelf.
• Measures: 14" x 9" x 11 1/2" tall. Contents not included.
• Three Trim Colors: Choose Plain, Wine & Blue, or Wine & Green. The color is woven in as dyed reed, not painted on.
• Optional Extras: Protective feet and an engraved solid brass plate are optional and sold right on this page. The lid and the rails are built in; the basket ships complete.
• American Heritage: Handwoven in the USA and signed by the Amish weaver who made it. Backed by our lifetime guarantee, with free shipping and no-questions returns on every order.

Cheryl's "is great for my bookwork and looks nice in my office," and Mary has "all of my knitting/crochet patterns filed in one place now. It sits so perfect right by my favorite chair."

The rails inside are metal, the one part of this basket that is not woven, and they take standard letter-size hanging folders. Lisa bought hers in one trim and planned the next in another "to tell files apart," which is the simplest filing system we know. Diana reports "they are dachshund proof."

The sizes are the outside of the rim. For the same file basket without the lid or handles, to sit open on a desk, the Wicker File Basket is 14 x 9 x 11 and takes an optional lift-off lid; for a lidded chest with strap handles, the Woven Basket Trunk. The rest of the family is on the storage baskets page.

An Old Order Amish family weaves it by hand on the Iowa-Missouri border, in the same community as the rest of our storage baskets, and the weaver signs the bottom before it leaves the farm. Standard shipping is free, and rush delivery is offered at checkout when a birthday or Christmas is close. It ships gift-ready, with no prices in the box, a free gift note at checkout, and a short letter about the family who wove it. Like every basket we sell, it carries our lifetime guarantee, and returns are no questions asked.
