About This Style

Vintage rugs evoke an antique aesthetic through faded tones, abrash colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments, often referencing mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving. Distressed rugs feature selectively faded zones or erased pile that reveal the base structure, often resulting from overdyeing that leaves ghost traces of the original pattern. Medallion rugs are defined by a central circular, oval, or diamond-shaped motif, typically rendered in geometric forms and framed by a distinct border.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie flat against the floor, making it highly suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. It is compatible with underfloor heating and functions well for layering over larger carpets or hard flooring surfaces.
