A 7.17 carat cushion cut diamond set in platinum, EGL certified at L color and SI2 clarity. Total diamond weight across the ring is 8.92 carats.

The halo on this ring floats. The pave ring sits slightly away from the center stone instead of hugging its girdle, which lets light reach the sides of the cushion that a tight halo would block, and keeps the center reading as its own object rather than merging into the surrounding stones. The pave totals 1.75 carats and the head measures 16 mm across. Platinum mounting, 9.2 grams.

Platinum is denser than gold, so the same design comes out heavier and the prongs hold their grip longer under daily wear. It also stays white permanently, where white gold needs its rhodium plating redone every few years.
