Pinus nigra

'Caperci’s Golden Cream'
Exceptional Austrian Black Pine Tree

Zones 4-8

Pinus nigra ‘Caperci’s Golden Cream’, also known by the cultivar names ‘Caperci’s Gold Cream’ and ‘Caperci’s Candles’, is an upright Austrian Black Pine prized for its striking spring color. The new growth emerges a creamy golden color, creating a beautiful contrast against the older grey-green needles. ‘Caperci’s Golden Cream’ can reach approximately 8–9 feet tall and 3–4 feet wide in 10 years, making it an excellent choice for adding year-round structure and seasonal color to the landscape. This unique selection was found and introduced by James Caperci of Washington. It is also sometimes referred to by the descriptive name Golden Brown Candle Austrian Pine.
