About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variations, or worn-look surface treatments. Distressed finishes mimic age through selectively faded zones or erased pile areas that reveal the base structure, often resulting from an overdyed process where a saturated bath leaves ghost traces of the original pattern. Medallion rugs are defined by a dominant central motif, typically circular, oval, or diamond-shaped, which anchors the composition and is frequently framed by a structurally distinct border.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flush against the floor, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its profile is compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as an effective base for layering over larger carpets.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a prominent central medallion motif rendered in a geometric style, enhanced by an overdyed blue finish that highlights the rug's intricate ghost-pattern textures.
• — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend; the cotton provides natural breathability, while the polyester adds durability, moisture resistance, and suitability for everyday use.
• — The no-pile, flatwoven construction ensures the rug lies flat, prevents shedding, and facilitates easy cleaning in busy households.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Designed for longevity and versatile placement, this piece is fully reversible and safe for use over underfloor heating systems.
