Persian Shield

Strobilanthes dyerianus, commonly known as Persian shield, is a tropical foliage plant prized for its striking, iridescent purple leaves with deep green veining. Its bold color and soft, slightly metallic sheen make it a standout in garden beds, borders, and containers, adding contrast and visual interest throughout the growing season.

Care Needs:
• Light: Partial sun to full shade
• Water: Keep soil consistently moist but well-drained; do not allow to fully dry out
• Pruning: Pinch back regularly to encourage bushier growth and maintain shape
• Fertilizer: Apply a balanced fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season for best foliage color
