Description
Peaceful Valley Regional Western Colorful Dryland Wildflower Mix combines clovers, lupines, and California wildflowers for spring and summer color in dryland and lower-input plantings. The mix reaches approximately 12–36 inches and includes annual and perennial species suited to full-sun sites with low to moderate soil fertility.
- Contains: Crimson Clover, Hykon Rose Clover, Blue Lupine, Berseem or Persian Clover, California Poppy, and Yellow Lupine
- Bloom season: Spring and summer
- Plant height: Approximately 12–36 inches
- Seeding rate: ¼–½ lb per 1,000 sq ft or approximately 14 lb per acre
- Seed treatment: The clover components are Nitrocoated. Blue Lupine and Yellow Lupine are uncoated and are not supplied with lupine inoculant.
- Inoculant: The mix may be planted as supplied. A compatible lupine inoculant may improve lupine nodulation where the appropriate bacteria are not already present in the soil.
Plant in fall or early spring. In mild-winter areas, fall sowing can be timed after soils cool so seed remains dormant until favorable spring conditions. Spring plantings and dry sites may require irrigation through establishment. Prepare a weed-free seedbed, cover seed lightly, and maintain good seed-to-soil contact.
Made to order. Minimum order quantity is 50 pounds.
Note for certified organic growers: This is conventionally grown, non-GMO seed. The Nitrocoated clover components use an OMRI-listed coating containing powdered limestone, an approved binder, and compatible peat-based inoculant. The lupine components are not Nitrocoated.
