Description
Peaceful Valley High Sierras Pasture Mix combines Martin Tall Fescue, Paiute Orchardgrass, and Smooth Brome for the distinctive conditions of elevated landscapes. Higher elevations can bring cooler temperatures, shorter growing seasons, and variable soils, making resilient plant species especially important.
Martin Tall Fescue, with its deep root system, enhances soil structure and minimizes erosion risks, promoting sustainable land management. Its cool-season nature ensures year-round productivity, even in cooler temperatures.
Paiute Orchardgrass, another cool-season grass, thrives in mountainous regions, offering a palatable and nutritious forage source. Its robust root system fosters soil stability and water retention, while its exceptional drought tolerance aids in water conservation.
Smooth Brome, a versatile perennial grass, excels in high-altitude environments. Its aggressive growth and soil-binding capacity provide vital erosion control, preserving soil integrity on steep terrains.
Also includes Nitrocoated Broadleaf Trefoil, Riley Intermediate Ryegrass, Nitrocoated Strawberry Clover, Nitrocoated Red Clover, and Nitrocoated Dutch White Clover.
