Organic Romanian Red Garlic (lb)

Organic Romanian Red makes a bold impression with upright growth, plump cloves and warm red streaking inside the bulbs. Curling scapes add a fresh bonus before harvest, and the generous cloves are as practical as they are handsome.

Fresh cloves bring pronounced heat to salsa, pesto and dressings; cooking turns that fire into a rounder savory richness. Their size is especially welcome for roasting, marinades and garlic butter.

Plant in fall in full sun with rich, freely draining soil. Harvest the scapes while curled, then lift the bulbs around mid-summer when the lower leaves have browned.
