Organic Norquay Garlic (lb)

Description
Organic Norquay feels right at home in a northern garlic patch. This Canadian Porcelain hardneck meets a short, cold season with sturdy growth and finishes with tight bulbs holding a few wonderfully generous cloves, plus tender scapes in early summer.
The flavor is spicy and robust when raw, then turns rounder and more savory after roasting. The large cloves are ideal for confit and whole-clove recipes, while the scapes are terrific grilled, sautéed or blended into pesto.
Plant in fall where the soil drains well through spring thaw. Pick the scapes while curled and harvest around mid-summer as the lower leaves brown.
