Organic German Extra Hardy Garlic (lb)

Organic German Extra Hardy is made for gardeners who appreciate a robust return after a cold winter. Strong upright plants finish with weighty white bulbs and just a handful of large, easy-peel cloves, plus a delicious crop of curled scapes.

The flavor is bold and classic: sharp enough for garlic-forward pesto, salsa and aioli, yet sweet and rounded after roasting or simmering. Those big cloves are especially convenient for confit and whole-clove recipes.

Give it a sunny fall planting with fast drainage after snowmelt. Harvest the scapes young, then dig around mid-summer when the lower leaves turn brown.
