Give Orangeola morning sun and afternoon shade in warmer climates for the brightest color and healthiest foliage. In cooler regions, it can tolerate more sun with consistent moisture. Use mulch to protect the root zone and regulate soil temperature, keeping mulch away from the trunk. Avoid heavy pruning, but lightly refine the shape in late winter to maintain the elegant cascading form. Pair Orangeola with deep greens, slate stone, or light colored groundcovers to amplify the sunset colors throughout the season.
