October Magic Ruby Camellia (Sasanqua)

A flash of red during the time of year when most other bloomers are winding down for the colder months, the October Magic® Ruby™ Camellia provides stunning autumn color. As your neighbors look on with envy, you will enjoy ruby red fully double blooms throughout fall. These Christmas red flowers are set upon glossy olive-green leaves that catch sunlight beautifully. This evergreen has a semi-dwarf nature and a dense, compact growth habit that makes maintenance unnecessary. This Camellia prefers to be planted in soil that is slightly acidic, and is at its healthiest when fertilized in early Spring with a slow-release balanced fertilizer.
