October Magic Dawn Camellia (Sasanqua)

Another superb Camellia from the Southern Living Plant Collection, the October Magic® Dawn™ Camellia produces large rose-form flowers that will draw attention. The Dawn’s blooms are a delicate blend of shades of pink blush into deeper hues around the edges. Unlike most bloomers, Fall and Winter are when Camellias spring into action. This evergreen will erupt with multitudes of magnificent blooms while the rest of the landscape is dormant. The dense, columnar habit of this Camellia makes for simple upkeep that rarely, if ever, needs pruning. Camellias perform best in well-drained, slightly acidic rich soil, apply a slow-release balanced fertilizer in Spring to keep your plants happy and healthy.
