Nogeas - Vintage Floral Rug - 5'4 X 8'5

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece celebrates Anatolian heritage through a flatwoven construction, showcasing a faded patina with abrash detail and an overdyed finish. Featuring a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable surface, it is layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, and offers a reversible weave, soft-touch distressed character, ghost-pattern 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal quality, and sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often referencing the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition where pieces were produced in small village workshops using natural dyes and regional motifs. These rugs frequently feature a distressed surface treatment, including abrash colour variation, selectively faded zones, or erased pile areas that reveal the base structure. Floral motifs in these carpets range from densely scrolled all-over fields to mid-century rose-bouquet repeats, reflecting a blend of traditional Ottoman vocabulary and regional variations.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie completely flat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. It is also compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as an ideal choice for layering over larger carpets.
