Nisuna - Vintage Distressed Rug - 6'1 X 10'3

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece embodies Anatolian heritage through its flatwoven construction, faded patina, abrash detail, and overdyed finish. Featuring a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable surface, it is layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, and offers a reversible weave, soft-touch distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal quality, and sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones and abrash-like colour variations characteristic of mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving. Distressed surface treatments mimic decades of use, where overdyed finishes leave ghost traces of original patterns visible beneath the surface. Medallion motifs serve as the focal point of these designs, typically rendered in geometric forms and framed by structurally distinct borders.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction ensures this rug lies flat against the floor, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, living rooms, and dining spaces. Its profile is compatible with underfloor heating systems and allows for seamless layering over larger carpets.
