Velvet has a very thick texture and can be hard to tie, so we extended the velvet material approximately 20-inches up the front. The remaining length of the tie, which includes the collar and the knot when tied, is made from black, heavyweight polyester material with a light satin finish. (The knot is black when tied.)

Product Care

Velvet can occasionally appear “crushed” if it’s been folded or pressed for an extended time. We recommend hanging velvet ties when not worn to help maintain their smooth finish. If you notice any lines or impressions, they are easy to refresh. Simply use a steamer and gently pass it across the fabric to revive the pile. (Do not use an iron, as direct heat and pressure can flatten the velvet and make imperfections worse.) Let the velvet dry completely.
