About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, and distressed surface treatments. These pieces reference the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition, where textiles were produced in small village workshops using regional floral motifs. Distressing occurs through decades of use or specialised overdyed finishes, which leave ghost traces of the original pattern beneath a saturated colour wash.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction of this rug allows it to lie completely flat, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. Its profile is perfectly suited for placement over larger rugs or on surfaces with underfloor heating.
