Mirage Stone - Area Rug - PLM4

This grey and blue distressed Persian area rug features a classic medallion design executed in an acrylic and viscose blend, offering a refined and structured foundation for interior spaces.

About This Style

The Persian design vocabulary represents classical Iranian carpet weaving, characterised by intricate arabesque fields, scrolling vine systems, and densely composed floral motifs from regional styles such as Heriz, Tabriz, Isfahan, and Kashan. A hallmark of this tradition is the medallion, a dominant central motif—typically circular or diamond-shaped—that anchors the formal composition. When a distressed surface treatment is applied, the textile mimics age and wear through abrash colour variation, selectively faded zones, or erased pile areas that reveal the rug's base structure.

Where It Works

The medium-pile construction makes this rug versatile for living rooms, dining areas, and formal bedrooms. Because the material composition includes viscose, which is sensitive to moisture, it is strictly intended for dry, indoor environments and should be kept away from entryways or kitchens. It provides a comfortable surface for seating arrangements while maintaining enough structural resilience to withstand moderate, everyday foot traffic.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a classical Persian medallion composition with deliberate distressed detailing to emulate an authentic, aged aesthetic.
• — Woven with an acrylic and viscose blend, which combines the durability of acrylic with the sheen and silky texture of viscose.
• — Constructed as a medium-pile rug, which balances softness underfoot with everyday durability.
• — Requires dry-cleaning or careful spot-cleaning due to the viscose content, ensuring the high-lustre finish remains intact over time.
• — Highly versatile for living and dining areas where a combination of tactile comfort and structural support is required.
