Maverick Noir blends smooth rosewood, aged leather, and dark patchouli with hints of saffron and bergamot. It's understated strength - tailored, timeless, the scent of quiet luxury - complex and endlessly compelling like smooth jazz at midnight. It was created to be the masculine pairing to our popular MWFC Original scent Scarlet Noir.

Top notes: Yuzu Zest, Saffron, Italian Bergamot

Middle notes: Vintage Leather, Rosewood, Sage Leaf

Candle Testing Notes 

Tested at 8% FO load, in Golden Wax 464. Test burned in a 60 sq ft space with an 8 oz candle for 3 hours. We recommend starting for candle testing at around 8% FO load and adjusting from here however, please look at your specific wax to see their recommendations and test.

Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 5/18/25 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.
