Plant Mars Grape in full sun with rich, well-drained soil for best results. Space vines about eight feet apart and provide sturdy support such as a trellis, arbor, or fence. Prune annually in late winter to remove old wood and encourage vigorous new growth that produces the best fruit. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish deep roots, then reduce watering once mature. Mars is self-pollinating, so you only need one plant to enjoy a full harvest.
