Design and construction

Centering the basin splits storage evenly to either side and puts the plumbing where it interferes least. The fronts are flat and handleless, relying on a routed finger edge rather than applied hardware, which is what gives the line its quiet modern look. Construction is solid teak, never MDF or particleboard, from FSC-certified timber; teak's natural oil content suits a wet room. Drawers are dovetailed at the corners and damped to close softly.

Countertop and finish

Order the top in quartz, marble, quartzite or terrazzo, cut for the centered basin and edged either mitered, for a heavier apparent slab, or coved. A backsplash in the matching material can be added. The undermount basin is fitted on site during installation, and the countertop travels in its own protective box separate from the cabinet.
