Long Keeping Onions - Red Zeppelin

These big, 3 to 4-inch, globe-shaped hybrid onions have glossy dark red skins and firm, crunchy flesh with purple rings throughout that add brilliant color to any dish. Slice them into rings for sandwiches, burgers and salads, or dice them into salsas, potato salads and hearty chili. 

‘Red Zeppelin’ has dense, slightly pungent flesh and a late-maturing habit that makes it especially well-suited to northern gardens. The longest-keeping red onion in our lineup, it stores beautifully after harvest so you can enjoy your crop for 6 to 8 months. String up a bunch to grace your kitchen until needed.
