About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones and abrash-like colour variations. These pieces reference the tradition of mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving, where items were produced in small village workshops using regional motifs. Floral vintage rugs utilise botanical forms, ranging from dense, scrolled all-over fields to mid-century rose-bouquet repeats that reflect both traditional Ottoman vocabulary and 20th-century regional variations.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. It is also compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as an ideal base for layering in larger living areas.
