Description
This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece celebrates Anatolian heritage through a flatwoven construction featuring a faded patina and distinct abrash detail. With an overdyed finish, low-pile, no-shed surface, and high-traffic durable build, this layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave offers a soft-touch, distressed character with a ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, sun-bleached tones aesthetic.
About This Style
Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. These pieces reference the tradition of mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving, where items were produced in small village workshops using regional motifs. Floral vintage rugs utilise botanical forms, such as blossoms and vines, ranging from densely scrolled fields to 20th-century repeats on neutral grounds.
Where It Works
The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie flat against the floor, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. It is compatible with underfloor heating and is layering-friendly, providing a practical solution for various interior floor surfaces.
