Description

Burnt orange: that is Lavis C15-14, from the 24-shade Gilded Aura cat eye line (gold-light cat eye on champagne, amber, emerald and wine bases). The finish is golden cat eye on rich bases, and the line forms when a magnet is held over the wet second coat.

Why techs pick C15-14

  • Golden cat eye on rich bases finish from the Lavis C-series, the specialty-finish range.
  • Formulated without HEMA: stated as what is left out, not as a promise that nobody can react.
  • 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle, high-gloss, smooth application.
  • 60 second cure per coat under UV or LED; Lavis quotes up to 21 days of wear with proper prep and a top coat.

How to apply C15-14

  1. Prep: cuticles back, buff the shine off, wipe, then cure a thin gel base (Base & Top Gel).
  2. First thin coat of C15-14, cured 60 seconds, no magnet.
  3. Second, slightly fuller coat; before it cures hold a cat eye magnet a few millimeters above the wet gel for a few seconds, then cure that nail at once.
  4. Full cure, then a glossy gel top coat. A dark cured base underneath makes the line read stronger.

Best for

Lavis pitches the Gilded Aura line for fall and winter. Fall menus: amber and champagne with a warm sweep. Techs pairing with C13: the two dark cat eye lines, moonlit versus gilded.

Questions about C15-14

What does HEMA-free mean here? Lavis formulates the C-series without HEMA, the small monomer in most gel products and the one most often named when a client reacts to gel. That is an exclusion, not a guarantee that no one reacts.

Can I wear C15-14 over a dark base? Yes, and the line reads strongest that way. Cure a coat of black or a deep solid first, then apply C15-14 and magnetize the second coat.

How is it removed? A normal gel soak-off: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push the softened gel away. Never pry.
