Description

Warm rose-gold. Lavis C14-16 is one of the 24 shades in the Secret Garden line, garden pastels with a moonlit-gold cat eye: a magnetic cat eye gel with a pastel cat eye with a moonlit-gold sweep finish that pulls its line under a magnet.

Why techs pick C14-16

  • Pastel cat eye with a moonlit-gold sweep finish from the Lavis C-series, the specialty-finish range.
  • Formulated without HEMA: stated as what is left out, not as a promise that nobody can react.
  • 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle, high-gloss, smooth application.
  • 60 second cure per coat under UV or LED; Lavis quotes up to 21 days of wear with proper prep and a top coat.

How to apply C14-16

  1. Prep: cuticles back, buff the shine off, wipe, then cure a thin gel base (Base & Top Gel).
  2. First thin coat of C14-16, cured 60 seconds, no magnet.
  3. Second, slightly fuller coat; before it cures hold a cat eye magnet a few millimeters above the wet gel for a few seconds, then cure that nail at once.
  4. Full cure, then a glossy gel top coat. A dark cured base underneath makes the line read stronger.

Best for

Lavis pitches the Secret Garden line for spring and all year. Spring garden sets: sage, blush and rose-gold with a gold sweep. Bridal and shower sets: soft gold on pastel photographs warmly.

Questions about C14-16

What does HEMA-free mean here? Lavis formulates the C-series without HEMA, the small monomer in most gel products and the one most often named when a client reacts to gel. That is an exclusion, not a guarantee that no one reacts.

Is a magnet included? No. Magnets are sold separately in our Magnet collection; any bar or stylus nail magnet works. Without one the gel cures as an even shimmer over the base color.

How is it removed? A normal gel soak-off: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push the softened gel away. Never pry.
