Description

Lavis C11-15 is rosy pink silk cat eye, one of 24 in the Mystic Veil line. The palette is dusk-toned neutrals, muted purples and smoky pastels and the finish is mixed cat eye; a cat eye magnet over the wet second coat draws the streak.

Why techs pick C11-15

  • Mixed cat eye finish from the Lavis C-series, the specialty-finish range.
  • Formulated without HEMA: stated as what is left out, not as a promise that nobody can react.
  • 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle, high-gloss, smooth application.
  • 60 second cure per coat under UV or LED; Lavis quotes up to 21 days of wear with proper prep and a top coat.

How to apply C11-15

  1. Prep: cuticles back, buff the shine off, wipe, then cure a thin gel base (Base & Top Gel).
  2. First thin coat of C11-15, cured 60 seconds, no magnet.
  3. Second, slightly fuller coat; before it cures hold a cat eye magnet a few millimeters above the wet gel for a few seconds, then cure that nail at once.
  4. Full cure, then a glossy gel top coat. A dark cured base underneath makes the line read stronger.

Best for

Lavis pitches the Mystic Veil line for all year, especially the transition seasons. Quiet cat eye: the silk line reads as a sheen at arm's length. Transition seasons: the shades that work in March and October alike.

Questions about C11-15

What does HEMA-free mean here? Lavis formulates the C-series without HEMA, the small monomer in most gel products and the one most often named when a client reacts to gel. That is an exclusion, not a guarantee that no one reacts.

Why is my line soft? Timing: cure each nail within a second or two of lifting the magnet. A thin second coat or a magnet held too far away gives a faint line.

How is it removed? A normal gel soak-off: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push the softened gel away. Never pry.
