Description

Lavis C08-03 is emerald-glass green, one of 24 in the Glass Gala line. The palette is sheer jelly shades layered with silver chrome shimmer, the finish jelly with silver chrome shimmer, and the coat count sets the look: one coat for a chrome-tinted sheer, two for a glassy jelly.

Why techs pick C08-03

  • Jelly with silver chrome shimmer finish from the Lavis C-series, the specialty-finish range.
  • Formulated without HEMA: stated as what is left out, not as a promise that nobody can react.
  • 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle, high-gloss, smooth application.
  • 60 second cure per coat under UV or LED; Lavis quotes up to 21 days of wear with proper prep and a top coat.

How to apply C08-03

  1. Prep: cuticles back, buff the shine off, wipe, then cure a thin gel base (Base & Top Gel).
  2. Thin first coat of C08-03, free edge capped, cured 60 seconds.
  3. Second coat, and a third where the finish wants it: One coat for a chrome-tinted sheer, two for a glassy jelly. Cure 60 seconds after each.
  4. Seal with a glossy gel top coat and cure.

Best for

Lavis pitches the Glass Gala line for all year and party sets. Layering over a cream base: one coat adds a chrome-jelly top to any solid color. Party and event sets: the built-in chrome catches light without powder.

Questions about C08-03

What does HEMA-free mean here? Lavis formulates the C-series without HEMA, the small monomer in most gel products and the one most often named when a client reacts to gel. That is an exclusion, not a guarantee that no one reacts.

Why does the finish look patchy? Coats that are too thick or not cured between layers. Keep each coat thin, cure 60 seconds after every one, and cap the free edge on the first.

How is it removed? A normal gel soak-off: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push the softened gel away. Never pry.
