Description

Lavis C04-18 is soft delicate rosy pastel, one of 24 in the Wildflower Whimsy line. The palette is blooming-field pastels in pinks, greens, blues and lilacs, the finish cream pastel, and the coat count sets the look: two thin coats for a smooth cream; pastels go on thin to avoid ridges.

Why techs pick C04-18

  • Cream pastel finish from the Lavis C-series, the specialty-finish range.
  • Formulated without HEMA: stated as what is left out, not as a promise that nobody can react.
  • 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) salon bottle, high-gloss, smooth application.
  • 60 second cure per coat under UV or LED; Lavis quotes up to 21 days of wear with proper prep and a top coat.

Best for

Lavis pitches the Wildflower Whimsy line for spring. Clients who want color without brightness: buttery yellows and sage greens instead of neons. Spring and Easter menus: the classic pastel wall.

Questions about C04-18

What does HEMA-free mean here? Lavis formulates the C-series without HEMA, the small monomer in most gel products and the one most often named when a client reacts to gel. That is an exclusion, not a guarantee that no one reacts.

Why does the finish look patchy? Coats that are too thick or not cured between layers. Keep each coat thin, cure 60 seconds after every one, and cap the free edge on the first.

How is it removed? A normal gel soak-off: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push the softened gel away. Never pry.
