Shimmering silver-chrome. Lavis CE7-01 is one of the twelve shades in the Villain Era drop, midnight emerald, obsidian black, smoky burgundy and noir metallics: a 9D magnetic cat eye gel that pulls its line when a magnet is held over the wet second coat.

How to apply CE7-01

1. Prep: push cuticles back, buff the shine off, wipe, then cure a thin gel base (Base & Top Gel).
2. First thin coat of CE7-01, cured 60 seconds, no magnet.
3. Second, slightly fuller coat. Before it cures, hold a cat eye magnet about 2 mm above the wet gel for three to five seconds without touching it.
4. Cure that nail at once, one nail at a time; the pigment drifts as soon as the magnet moves away. Full cure 60 to 90 seconds.
5. Seal with a glossy gel top coat and cure. A dark cured underlayer makes the line read stronger.

Lavis pitches the Villain Era drop for fall, winter and Halloween. Halloween without costume nails: the shades read as glamour first, spooky second. Clients who wear black gel: obsidian with a magnetic silver line is the upgrade to a flat black.

Questions about CE7-01

Is a magnet included? No. Every Lavis cat eye shade needs a magnet, sold separately; any bar, stylus or dual-line nail magnet works and ours are in the Magnet collection. Without one the gel cures as an even shimmer.

What does HEMA-free mean here? Lavis formulates CE7-01 without HEMA, the small monomer most often named in gel reactions, and without TPO, the photoinitiator that cures the gel. That is an exclusion, not a guarantee that no one reacts.

How is it removed? A normal gel soak-off: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push the softened gel away. Never pry.
