LAVIS 9D Cat Eyes CE2 - 03 - Gel Polish 0.5 oz - Under The Sea Collection

Lavis CE2-03 is a magenta pink cat eye gel polish inspired by tropical coral gardens, from the Under The Sea cat eye drop (aqua tides, teal currents and seafoam shimmer). Painted on, it is a shimmer gel; hold a magnet over the wet second coat and the 9D pigment gathers into a line inside the color.

How to apply CE2-03

1. Prep: push cuticles back, buff the shine off, wipe, then cure a thin gel base (Base & Top Gel).
2. First thin coat of CE2-03, cured 60 seconds, no magnet.
3. Second, slightly fuller coat. Before it cures, hold a cat eye magnet about 2 mm above the wet gel for three to five seconds without touching it.
4. Cure that nail at once, one nail at a time; the pigment drifts as soon as the magnet moves away. Full cure 60 to 90 seconds.
5. Seal with a glossy gel top coat and cure. A dark cured underlayer makes the line read stronger.

Questions about CE2-03

Is a magnet included? No. Every Lavis cat eye shade needs a magnet, sold separately; any bar, stylus or dual-line nail magnet works and ours are in the Magnet collection. Without one the gel cures as an even shimmer.

Why is my line soft? Timing. The pigment starts to relax the moment the magnet moves away, so cure each nail within a second or two. A thin second coat or a magnet held too far away gives a faint line.

How is it removed? A normal gel soak-off: file the top thin, wrap in acetone, wait, push the softened gel away. Never pry.
