Release and expectations

Inspect plants first and confirm that suitable prey is present. Follow the current product instructions for storage, timing, quantity, and release. A cool, dim release period and nearby moisture may improve initial conditions, but adult ladybugs can disperse and are not guaranteed to remain or establish.

Ladybugs may feed on aphids and other small, soft-bodied arthropods, but results depend on prey, weather, habitat, pesticide residues, release timing, and other conditions. Check pesticide labels and biological-control compatibility before release; “beneficial insect” does not mean every pesticide or site is safe for the insects.

Read the ladybug guide and compare the ladybug collection.
