This Japanese heirloom produces smooth, uniform carrots with a sweet, sharp taste. Harvest them young for tasty baby carrots or let them reach six-plus inches. A very hardy variety, the Kuroda tolerates heat and tough soil better than most carrots.

  • 300 seeds minimum
  • Germination: 14-28 days
  • Maturity: 85 days
  • Direct sow first crop as soon as soil can be worked in early spring. Gently press scattered seeds into loosened soil. Resow in late summer for a fall crop.
  • Plant in full sun and water consistently.
  • Space plants 2-4” apart in rows 12-18” apart.
