Ketoya - Vintage Distressed Rug - 5'1 X 7'9

This turquoise Apex Vintage rug is a hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece rooted in Anatolian heritage. Featuring a flatwoven construction, faded patina, and abrash detail, its overdyed finish creates a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, and reversible weave surface with a soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, sun-bleached tones aesthetic.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. Distressed rugs utilise surface treatments to mimic age, such as erased pile areas that reveal the base structure or overdyeing, which leaves ghost traces of the original pattern beneath a saturated colour bath. Medallion rugs are defined by a dominant central motif, typically circular, oval, or diamond-shaped, which anchors the composition and is frequently framed by a structurally distinct border.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie flat against the floor, making it highly suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, or dining rooms. Its thin profile is ideal for layering over larger rugs and ensures compatibility with underfloor heating systems.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a prominent central medallion motif rendered in stylized geometry, accented by a distinct border and distressed surface effects.
• — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend; the cotton provides natural breathability, while the polyester adds durability and moisture resistance for everyday use.
• — Utilises a no-pile, flatwoven construction that lies flush against the floor, preventing trip hazards and ensuring long-term structural integrity.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Engineered for high-traffic durability and layering-friendly placement, this rug is fully compatible with underfloor-heating systems.
