Horstmann's Silberlocke Korean Fir

A slow-growing evergreen with curled silver-backed needles, elegant cones, and year-round alpine beauty.

FEATURES:

• Compact, pyramidal evergreen with a refined shape that looks naturally sculptural in the landscape
• Curled dark green needles reveal bright silvery undersides, creating a shimmering two-tone effect
• Upright purple cones can appear on mature trees, adding rare ornamental drama above the branches
• Slow-growing habit makes it a beautiful choice for smaller gardens, courtyards, and featured evergreen plantings
• Year-round color and texture bring structure, contrast, and a cool mountain-garden feeling through every season
• Hand Selected; Fresh from the Grower
• Ships on our trucks because of the size of the tree – does not fit in a box

Bower & Branch Landscape Design Tip:

Plant Horstmann’s Silberlocke Korean Fir where morning or late-day light can catch the silver undersides of the needles, then keep the base simple with a clean mulch ring and low, soft companions like dwarf grasses, heuchera, or compact evergreens; the trick is to let the fir be the quiet jewel of the planting, because too much competition around it is like putting a chandelier in a closet.
