Description
Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals MPP 157 (Peptide Based Sports Nutrition Formula)
This peptide supplement was formulated to not only increase protein synethesis and recovery, but to also help with tendon, ligament, muscle and gut health. It should not however be confused with BPC-157. But if you are looking for a similar compound that has the muscle building and recovery benefits, MPP 157 should not be overlooked.
Main Benefits
- Increased Protein Synthesis*
- Helps to Increase Muscle Growth*
- Supports Muscle Recovery*
- Supports Tendon & Ligament Health*
- Supports Gut Health*
- Can Improve Exercise Performance and Workouts*
Main Ingredient Breakdown
Leucyl-Prolyl-Isoleucine (LPI-157®) — 2,000 mg
LPI-157 is a tripeptide consisting of three amino acids:
-
Leucine: An essential branched-chain amino acid involved in activating mTORC1 signaling, a key regulator of muscle protein synthesis.
-
Proline: An amino acid important in collagen structure and connective tissue.
-
Isoleucine: Another essential BCAA involved in muscle metabolism and energy utilization.
The advantage of combining these amino acids into a peptide is that peptide digestion and absorption may differ from taking free amino acids individually. Research on peptide absorption supports this general concept. See research here.
L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine (Sustamine®) — 1,000 mg
Sustamine is the strongest research supported ingredient in this formula, particularly for exercise hydration and endurance, two things athletes and bodybuilders look for during their workouts.
Sustamine is a dipeptide combining alanine and glutamine.
-
Glutamine plays roles in intestinal cell metabolism, immune function, and nitrogen transport. If you are into bodybuilding, you have probably taken Glutamine on it's own.
-
Alanine is part of glucose metabolism and energy production.
-
The dipeptide has been studied for its potential to support fluid and electrolyte uptake during exercise and intense workouts.
Clinical trials include:
- Study 1: Hoffman et al., 2010 — Hydration and endurance
- Study 2: McCormack et al., 2015 — Running performance
- Study 3: Hoffman et al., 2012 — Basketball performance
L-Tauryl-L-Glycine (Glycyltaurine) — 1,000 mg
Taurine is involved in calcium regulation, cell-volume control, and antioxidant defense. These functions have made it an ingredient of interest for exercise performance and muscle function. Glycine is an amino acid used in collagen synthesis and glutathione production. It is also involved in metabolic and cellular protection pathways. Both of these compounds show importance for athletes and bodybuilders.
Directions & Dosage
