Bower & Branch Landscape Design Tip:

Give Hana Matoi morning sun and afternoon shade in warmer climates to protect its variegated foliage and maintain color vibrancy. Plant in rich, well-drained soil with consistent moisture, and mulch to keep the root zone cool. Pruning should be light and focused on refining the shape in late winter. Because the foliage is so unique, pair this tree with understated companions so its color story does not compete for attention. Stones, moss, and evergreen textures make perfect partners.
