Grayn - Vintage Medallion Rug - 5'7 X 9'1

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece embodies Anatolian heritage through a flatwoven construction, featuring a faded patina, abrash detail, and overdyed finish. With its low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, and underfloor-heating safe design, this reversible weave offers a soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, sun-bleached tones aesthetic.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variations, and distressed surface treatments. These pieces frequently incorporate a central medallion motif—a hallmark of classical Anatolian design—rendered in geometric or stylised forms, alongside intricate floral patterns derived from botanical scrolls. Such rugs often undergo an overdying process, which leaves ghost traces of the original pattern beneath a saturated wash, reflecting the mid-20th-century tradition of village-workshop craftsmanship.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flat, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. Its thin profile is compatible with underfloor heating and allows for seamless layering over larger rugs or carpeted surfaces.

Why Choose This Rug?
