Sunset colors were the literal design brief behind this Burberry flanker, richer and more amplified than the original Goddess it's built from. Lavender alone opens this Eau de Parfum Intense, clean and slightly cool against what follows. A quartet of vanillas, regular vanilla, vanilla absolute, bourbon vanilla and vanilla caviar, fills the entire heart, denser than the original's version of the same idea. Patchouli alone closes it out, earthy and grounding. The retail name is Goddess Intense Perfume; Burberry classifies this Eau de Parfum Intense as gourmand amber woody, at its best in evening and cold weather, where that concentrated vanilla quartet has room to fully unfold. Vanilla caviar in particular is the ingredient adding noticeable textural interest to that quartet, a technique that captures the vanilla pod's actual seeds and skin rather than just the extracted flavor compound, giving the heart a slightly gritty, tactile richness that a single standard vanilla note could never achieve alone. Set directly against the original Goddess, the structure stays nearly identical, but everything about this edition runs louder and warmer, an amplifier turned up on notes the first version only hinted at, and it rewards a wearer who found the original beautiful but simply wanted more of it.
