For a comfortable, close shave, the barbers at Geo. F. Trumper suggest shaving after a warm bath or shower and first conditioning the skin with a protective skin food; a good brush is recommended for loading and lathering the soap effectively. Wet the brush thoroughly and work it over the Extract of Limes Hard Shaving Soap to create a dense, creamy lather. Build the lather in the palm of your hand or in a shaving bowl or mug, adding small amounts of water as needed. Apply to the beard in circular motions and shave with the direction of hair growth. Rinse with cool, clean water and reapply skin food to soothe the skin and help guard it against the elements.
