Frofuen - Vintage Distressed Rug - 6'2 X 10'0

This turquoise Apex Vintage rug is a hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece rooted in Anatolian heritage. Featuring a flatwoven construction, faded patina, abrash detail, and overdyed finish, it offers a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable surface. Its layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave and soft-touch distressed character reveal a ghost-pattern reminiscent of 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are curated to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. Distressed rugs utilise specific finishing techniques that mimic age, such as erased pile areas that reveal the base structure or an overdyed process where a saturated bath leaves ghost traces of the original pattern. Medallion rugs are defined by a central circular, oval, or diamond-shaped motif, a hallmark of classical design that anchors the composition within a distinct frame.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flat, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. It is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems and is highly effective for layering over larger carpets or hard flooring surfaces.
