This beige vintage rug is a hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece of Anatolian heritage featuring a flatwoven construction, faded patina, abrash detail, overdyed finish, low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave, soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, and sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic through faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. Floral motifs in these pieces range from dense all-over fields to mid-century repeats, reflecting both Ottoman design vocabulary and 20th-century regional variations. Distressed characteristics often result from decades of use combined with an overdyed finish, where a saturated colour bath leaves ghost-pattern traces of the original design visible beneath the surface.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie flat against the floor, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and living spaces. It is compatible with underfloor heating and functions well as a layering-friendly piece when placed over larger carpets.
