Forest Sounds

Liis co-founders, Leslie Hendin and Alissa Sullivan, grew up in Marin, a coastal county in Northern California made up of 56% protected natural lands, where Pacific Ocean fog billows through towering forests, pulled east by inland heat. Forest Sounds reminds us of the sparkling sight of the trees turning mist into raindrops to feed their roots. The harmonious scents of damp earth, resinous sap and verdant leaves in cool morning air, quietly woven with what we suspect is an elegant, high-quality patchouli.

Bathed in mist, an electric biome of an invisible grove comes alive. A sonic flash of yuzu opens into damp green foliage and cool air humming above the forest floor, filtered through high branches into loamy soil, vetiver, and ancient woods.
