About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often showcasing faded tones, abrash colour variations, and distressed surface treatments that mimic decades of wear. These pieces frequently incorporate overdyed finishes, where the original rug is submerged in a saturated bath to reveal ghost traces of the underlying pattern. The medallion motif serves as a central focal point, typically rendered in geometric or stylised forms that are characteristic of mid-20th-century Anatolian weaving traditions.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flush, making it ideal for high-traffic hallways, kitchens, and dining areas. Its low-profile design is suitable for placement over floor heating and acts as a stable foundation for layering in living rooms or bedrooms.
