Description
A grenade-shaped bottle promises impact, and Flowerbomb Perfume built the juice inside to match that threat. Tea, bergamot and osmanthus open this Eau de Parfum with more restraint than the packaging implies, quiet and slightly bitter. Orchid, jasmine, rose, freesia and African orange flower detonate at the core, an enormous, sweet floral bouquet that's the fragrance's defining signature. Patchouli, musk and vanilla settle into a warm, cushioned foundation underneath all that floral weight. Viktor&Rolf classifies this Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum as floral, and calling it maximalist barely covers how much is happening between the top and the base. Osmanthus in that restrained opening is an apricot-leather hybrid note, subtle enough that most wearers miss it entirely on a first smell, but it's precisely what keeps the tea-bergamot start from feeling thin next to the enormous floral explosion that follows a few minutes later. Built squarely for evening, it's a fragrance that rewards a wearer unafraid of being the loudest scent in the room, an unapologetic contrast to the restrained tea-and-bergamot opening that gives no warning of what follows, and its sillage remains among the most generous of any mainstream designer women's fragrance still in wide release.
