Fennel Seed - Ground

Fennel is a flowering perennial that produces seeds used as a cooking spice. Fennel's use dates back to medieval Europe. Because of its licorice-type flavor, Fennel Seeds were (and still are) used as a breath freshener.

Common uses for Fennel Seeds today are in breads, cakes and cookies. It is sometimes found in Indian spice mixtures and is used to season game.
