DNKa - Professional Nail Gel Tips Oval, 240pcs

Round, but not round the way a circle is round — Oval sits between Square's flat edge and Almond's tapered point, curving evenly across the free edge without narrowing to a tip. It's one of four shapes in DNKa's Gel Tips line, and arguably the most classic silhouette of the group, the shape most people picture when they think "natural extension" without any particular styling opinion attached.

What actually makes Oval work as a tip rather than a sculpted shape: these are thin, pre-formed gel tips rather than raw material shaped on a form. That thinness matters because a bulkier tip fights the natural nail's flex, while a properly thin one moves with it — the difference between an extension that feels foreign and one that just feels like a longer version of your own nail.

What's in the box: 240 pieces across 12 sizes, giving enough range to fit most natural nail widths without gaps in coverage.

Why techs reach for tips over forms:

  • Considerably faster than sculpting the same shape from scratch
  • Thin but strong, flexible enough to move with the nail
  • Holds up to daily wear without losing its shape
  • Easy to file and re-length — practical for clients who bite their nails

Application:

  1. Standard nail prep — remove old coating, buff, finish the manicure
  2. Degrease the buffed nail, apply primer
  3. Base coat across the whole nail, cure 60 sec LED
  4. Select tip size, base coat the contact area, cure 60 sec LED
  5. Fix the tip with a mini or flashlight lamp
  6. Cure 1–2 minutes in a 36/48W hybrid lamp
  7. Remove the step at the cuticle with a drill or file, seal with a base layer
  8. Cure the leveling layer — 2–3 min UV or 60 sec LED
  9. Shape with a file, no more than 180 grit
  10. Reinforce with Liquid Acrylgel, DNKa Builder Gel, or similar before color

Also available in Almond, Square, and L-Stiletto for the same fast-tip approach in other shapes.

Is Oval the easiest shape to blend at the cuticle line? Its even curve tends to be forgiving during the leveling step, since there's no sharp corner or narrow point to work around — though careful blending still matters for a seamless finish regardless of shape.
