Defender Celtic Cross Tattoo Design

Taken from a knight's shield, this cross represents the Defenders of the Christian Faith. In the times of the Crusades, knights left their homes and journeyed forth to save Jerusalem from the Infidels. They proudly wore the symbols of their belief on their armor.
